Brock Davis defeated Dante Inferno in a singles match at NWA Unleashed, capturing the NWA Universal Championship in the process. The championship changed hands with Davis officially recorded as the winner of match nine on the Season 2 PLE card. The result gives Davis the defining victory of his NWA run to date. Entering the official record as a 3-0-0 competitor, Davis remained unbeaten and pushed his current winning streak to three matches. That streak is also listed as the longest of his NWA career so far. Inferno leaves NWA Unleashed on the losing side of a title match, while Davis takes possession of the league’s Universal Championship. No stipulation was attached to the contest; this was a straight singles championship encounter, played and completed on April 26. NWA Unleashed was a Season 2 PLE event, and the Davis-Inferno clash stood as its ninth match rather than the main event.
